    Position Purpose & Summary
    Sustainability is an integral part of CCC business strategic roadmap and value drivers. The 2022 business strategy re-states the thought leadership ambitions to create value for the business with internal and external stakeholderS which results (a.o) in an increased need and desire for value chain transparency and traceability -supported through a comprehensive compliance system.
    Further embedding of sustainability into intermal and external business processes in cocoa sourcing and logistical operations is theretore essential. Under the management of value
    Chain Manager, this role is respornsible for setting up processes and procedures that safeguard the integrity of Cargill’s business operations in accordance with regional, national, voluntary and company standards. In coordination with different business functions, the « Compliance
    Officer designs a robust complianoe monitoring system both with partner cooperatives and in the Cargill Supply Chain. This position effectively embeds sustainability activities into the local sourcing and logistics organization and within our supplier base. uppoh overal sustainabilnty strategy and help implement customer traceability solutions linked to value propositions. The Compliance Officer will evaluate the capabilities required around supply chain transparency systems not only in sustainability but also across other functions. 1he Compliance Officer will be the regional lead and subject matter expert on the business implications of sustainability (certification) standards, premium management and chain of custody compliance.
    This position is responsible for audit management approach of both internal standards and third-party certifications (UTZ, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance), in close coordination with the accountable function in EMEA and the sustainability governance team. It will also be the key relationship manager

    Principal Accountabilities
    Coordinate’standards » based activities that contribute to the execution and delivery of both specific as well as generically designed value proposition for customers. Lead development and implementation of specific intermal capabilities (process and or systems) required to deliver ‘Consumer Confidence Sustainability goals across various functions specifically around sourcing, shipping and accounting. These capabilities should ensure that:

    Cargill’s sourcing partners are able to meet standards
    Cargill sources certified cocoa beans only from certified suppliers and sells only to certified clients
    Cargill keeps a long position of sustainable certified credits, based on chain of custory standard rules
    Correct sustainability descriptions are used on all documentation
    Third-party traceability portals and intermal systems are kept up to date with accurate information
    Internal audits are conducted to safeguard that all relevant processes are successfully implemented
    Responsible of design and implementation of compliance protocols. This include protocols tor supply chain requirements developed tor dedicated customer supply chains.
    Ensure that transport, storage and production and export of certified and or segregated cocoa meet customer and/or standard requirements as agreed upon. Work with sourcing teams to deliver traceability solutions.
    Be team expert in sustainability certification standards. Support the further embedding of certification standard compliance managenment systems in the region. Responsible for maintaining the in country and regional (WAF) compliance manual, and coordinating implementation of any certification changes into the business. Coordinate audit management of both internal and third-party audits. Relationship management with the local certification bodies. Represent Cargill in the African Regional for Sustainable Cocoa
    People leadership, development and management through extensive development and coaching to indirect reports and peers.
    Education, Exsperience,. Skills
    Education
    University degree, preferably in Agronomy or related. With 5-7 years work experience
    Experience 5-7 years’ experience working in program implementation in agricultural- rural environment/ sustainability standards implementation / business ad ministration within
    Food/Agricultural supply chains, with a strong focus on sustainability and rural development
    Skills
    Excellent management and coordination skills as well as experience in technical M&E implementation;
    Possession of strong organizational, reporting and analytical skills;                                  Adaptable, flexible, able to take initiative and prioritize among competing demands;

    Organises and accurately completes multiple tasks by establishing priorities while taking into consideration special assignments, frequent interruptions, deadlines, available resources and multiple reporting relationships
    Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including target settingg reporting, database management, and developing M&E and/performance monitoring plans.
    Stakeholder management: excellent communication skills (written and oral): Sensitivity to and responsiveness to all partners, Respectful and helpful relations with donors and project staff.

    This is role is will build CCC Cote d’Ivoire’s M&cE team expertise and capacity in performance measurement by leading a high-performing country monitoring and evaluation team. The need for good quality verified data across CCC sustainability goals is growing fast, with customers and stakeholders demanding ever more insights. The M&E team needs to match this growth to continue to provide support and build capacity to our operational team.
    PrincipalAccountabilities
    Lead the sustainability Monitoring. Evaluation and Learning strategy and vision from Africa region perspective:
    Act as point of accountability for all M&E activities across Cote d’Ivoire
    Own Country Impact Framework and drive Sustainability Team on impact eporting
    Ensure the efective implementation of Global M&cE policies and procedures andd that they are developed to local context
    Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection, management and verification systems and propose solutions
    Develop learning framework and process, ensuring learnings are generated, shared acros the oeio and eldal
    Coordinate bi-annual program review meetings to facilitate dialogue and leaming on project/program implementation with project team and stakeholders.
    Elaborate and manage M&E budget and activities.
    Oversee the design and management of external evaluation processes and specific studies/research at the country-level
    Support and standardize the development of tools and processes to monitor progress against internal sustainability goals

    Team and organizational management
    Evaluate country specific systems functionality and teams to deliver M&cE
    Build the capacity of country M&cE teams as needed through 12 and 24 month plans accordingiy
    Implement M&E capacity building plan for the following 12 months, and 24 months, respecthvely
    Establishes effective knowledge management mechanisms incduding documentation of M&E processes.
    Provides guidanoe and expertise to project coordinators in supporting data collection project evaluations and consultancies
    Proposing corrective/fimprovement actions to improve data and work flows.
    Ensure futher strengthening and inter-team coordination of M&E related activities
    Drive the development of technological solution and align needs and development requiremens
    Participate in design of new country/regional sustainability projects or pilots to develop or validate their M&E components.
    Liaise with partners and donors to ensure that M&E data and analysis is responsive to their requests and requirements.
    Responsible for execution of data collection protocol in due time to allow customer of intermal reporting, tlagging issues and adapt protocols in line with
    Schiphol based on field reality and constraints (budget/time /availability of essources)
    Manages al stakeholders involved in McE activities pro-actively: tlagging issues
    Report monthly, quarterly, halt-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to relevant stakeholders
